The first time I ever saw Susan Tedeschi was on the “Donny & Marie Talk Show” way back in the late 1990s. When she spoke she sounded like a shy kindergarten teacher and when she sang I could have sworn I was at a Sunday morning revival meeting in the neighborhood juke joint.
If you didn’t get a chance to watch her perform with husband Derek Trucks at Eric Clapton’s "Crossroads" concert last year, check out this clip http://youtu.be/3Eb_UXDxUbs and be blown away.
Vocal style: Big and bluesy covered with a thick layer of gritty gospel rock.
